cale-free topologies and activatory-inhibitory interactions

چکیده
A simple model of activatory-inhibitory interactions controlling the activity of agents substrates through a “saturated response” dynamical rule in a scale-free network is thoroughly studied. After discussing the most remarkable dynamical features of the model, namely fragmentation and multistability, we present a characterization of the temporal periodic and chaotic fluctuations of the quasi-stasis asymptotic states of network activity. The double both structural and dynamical source of entangled complexity of the system temporal fluctuations, as an important partial aspect of the correlation structure-function problem, is further discussed in light of the numerical results, with a view on potential applications of these general results. © 2006 American Institute of Physics. Scale-free topologies and activatory-inhibitory interactions.

متن کاملPlatelet signaling: a complex interplay between inhibitory and activatory networks
The role of platelets in hemostasis and thrombosis is dependent on a complex balance of activatory and inhibitory signaling pathways. Inhibitory signals released from the healthy vasculature suppress platelet activation in the absence of platelet receptor agonists. Activatory signals present at a site of injury initiate platelet activation and thrombus formation; subsequently, endogenous negati...
متن کاملIMGT Colliers de Perles and IgSF domain standardization for T cell costimulatory activatory (CD28, ICOS) and inhibitory (CTLA4, PDCD1 and BTLA) receptors.
T cell activation depends on the specific recognition by their T cell receptors (TR) of antigenic peptides bound to major histocompatibility complex (pMHC). Optimal T cell responses occur when T cells not only receive antigen-specific signals through the TR but also non-antigen-specific costimulatory activatory or inhibitory signals through costimulatory receptors. The activatory CD28/B7-1 (or ...
متن کاملExistence of Both Inhibitory (p58) and Activatory (pS0) Receptors for HLA-C Molecules in Human Natural Killer Cells
The natural killer (NK) cell-specific p58 molecules EB6 and GL183 have been shown to represent the putative surface receptors for two distinct groups of human histocompatibility leukocyte antigen (HLA) C alleles. Interaction between p58 receptors and class I molecules expressed on target cells results in inhibition of the NK-mediated cytolytic activity and thus in target cell protection. In the...
متن کامل[Fcγ receptor and systemic autoimmune disease].
The systemic autoimmune disease such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is characterized by the deposition of immune complexes in multiple organs. Fcγ receptors (FcγR) recognize the Fc portion of IgG and are important in determining the response of leukocytes to deposited immune complexes. FcγR also provide positive and negative regulation of immune cell responses. The activatory FcγR includ...
